Watch: Duke's Amiah Burgess's Defense Helps Duke Win A Pitcher's Duel

The top-seeded Duke Blue Devils advanced past the 2nd round of the 2024 ACC Softball Championship after a 2-run homer in the 10th inning by Aminah Vega broke a scoreless tie. In order to get to extra innings, the Blue Devils had some help in left field from Amiah Burgess. In the 5th inning with 2 runners on and 2 outs, Burgess fielded a single and fired a dart to catcher Kelly Torres just in time to record the out and end the inning. Burgess wasn't done there. Still scoreless in the 6th, she makes a beautiful diving catch to rob Jordan Stephens of a base hit.
